NEW POWER DISTRIBUTION WAREHOUSE OPENS IN SHERBURN IN ELMET
WE HAVE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED OUR NEW POWER DISTRIBUTION WAREHOUSE AT SHERBURN IN ELMET, NORTH YORKSHIRE, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WILSON POWER SOLUTIONS.
The facility adds 2,735 square metres of storage to our existing 48,500 square metre portfolio across Halifax, Elland, Bradford, Goole and Grangemouth. It supports the storage and movement of power distribution transformers and other specialist equipment. Operated in close partnership with Wilson Power Solutions, the warehouse is fully rented by Wilsons to store their transformers.
Collett manages daily transport operations between Wilson Power Solutions’ main facility and the Sherburn warehouse, alongside a range of wider heavy-lift and specialist transport services, ensuring a seamless logistics process.
KEY FEATURES:
- Two bays spanning 2,735 square metres, with additional external storage available.
- Overhead gantry cranes with lifting capacities from 5Te to 20Te.
- A 5-metre hook-to-floor height clearance suitable for oversized cargo.
- Four drive-in roller shutter doors (6m wide x 5m high) for efficient handling of out-of-gauge items.
- Excellent connectivity to the A1 Motorway, providing access to major transport links.
- Ample parking and 24-hour CCTV monitoring to ensure safety and security.
- Sustainable design incorporating eco-friendly technologies.
This expansion strengthens our ability to offer fully integrated warehousing and heavy-lift logistics solutions, further enhancing Collett’s position as a market leader in complex transport and storage operations and highlights the strength of the ongoing partnership.
The new warehouse was officially launched in the presence of Director, Sam Collett and Sales Director, Mick Harland, alongside Wilson Power Solutions’ Head of Operations, Jake Young, and Marketing Manager, Marek Skibinski.
