Stevedores

The marine team at Collett will oversee the complete management of your cargo, covering all ship discharge and offloading, utilising our heavy lift services to load or unload your cargo across all UK ports. Our dedicated team of stevedores will undertake the loading or discharge of your shipment and provide a full marine service for your cargo.

Operating from our dedicated heavy lift depots at the Port of Goole and the Port of Grangemouth, our in-house appointed persons prepare lift plans, risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe lifting under CPA contract lift conditions, while our team of stevedores provide services including discharge and loading, overseen by our marine division.

Stevedore Service

Our team of stevedores lash abnormal loads and cargoes in the hold, on deck or wherever the stow may be, including designing load spreading systems so you can be confident that your cargo is safe and secure.

We are experienced in handling a variety of heavy lift cargoes, ranging from abnormal loads, steel pipes and equipment for the offshore oil and gas industry (including decommissioned cargoes) to breakbulk cargo and wind energy components for the renewable energy sector.

Safe Practice for Cargo Stowage

Our highly experienced stevedores are supported by a range of modern plant and equipment, with all work carried out in the safest possible ways due to our compliance procedures, use of job-specific risk assessments, method statements and lift plans created to exacting standards.

Working to the code of safe practice for cargo stowage, our riggers provide shipping lines, underwriters and shippers with the confidence that their goods are safely and professionally secured.
