Traffic Management Plans

These include TTRO (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order), route planning and access reports to plan the movement of abnormal load and heavy transport projects.

Utilising all the data collated whilst undertaking swept path analysis reports, topographical surveys, visual route inspections, route access surveys and test drives, Collett Transport Consulting will provide comprehensive traffic management plans detailing all aspects of your heavy transport project.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Our traffic management plans can also include the application and implementation requirements of TTRO (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) which may include temporary restrictions, closure or diversion signing of routes.

These allow the enforcement of various traffic regulations, including:

  • Speed limits
  • Waiting/loading restrictions
  • Turning bans and one way streets
  • Weight limits and prohibitions of vehicles
  • Bus lanes and taxi ranks

Heavy Transport Projects

Our planned movements through traffic management plans ensure that not only do heavy transport & abnormal load projects minimise the impact on the surrounding environment but also on other road users and pedestrians.

These plans identify current heavy transport legislation applicable to each individual abnormal load project.

Comprehensive Route Data

Background information including traffic data, school holidays, cycle routes, public foot paths, sunrise and sunset times and any other site specific project information will be gathered and analysed.

The impact of all project construction traffic, including abnormal loads, will be assessed against existing traffic and road conditions and where necessary a road condition report can be supplied.  Mapping will be provided indicating the route planning for all construction traffic along with the impact of journey times and delays to network traffic.
